Small remodels or
renovations
…are typically associated with re-imagining a kitchen or bath, but these projects also could include removing a wall, adding or repurposing a closet, moving or replacing a window or door, even painting. These are very common jobs, which modernize or change the use of an area.
Larger
remodels
…include finishing a basement or attic, building a micro-addition onto a room, joining two rooms, adding a bedroom or adding an en-suite. Such projects usually add substantial value to a home.
Full remodels or
renovations
…will usually impact an entire house. Examples are: changing an entire floor plan, adding an addition or dormer, and adding staircases or alternate access to areas. This can certainly be done while a home is occupied, but these jobs often are accomplished while homeowners are on vacation, living in alternative housing, or prior to moving in to a new home.

…is the process of working with an architect or modifying other home plans. It begins with site selection, coordinating with the municipality for approvals and permitting, and is then followed by site planning, site work, construction services, landscape architecture, and final inspections.

We recommend the use of a professional architect when within your budget; however, we recognize that isn’t always possible. We offer creative, in-house assistance in these areas and can offer ideas that often lead to cost savings or better use of space.
Building…constructing…finishing….
We protect your house and property through the framing, drywall, siding, roofing, trim, tiling, painting and cleanup processes—whether a remodel or an addition. We use proven and modern building science techniques by our skilled workers. We always have your back.

Our founder, Mike Farruggio (aka HandyMike), was formally trained as a carpenter, then spent four-years serving our nation in the United States Air Force and then served 27-years as a law enforcement officer. Mike has and holds the highest regard and adherence to truth, honor, and loyalty, and he insists on and instills these qualities in every employee he hires.

From the beginning, we have always put knowledge, ability, and the best-practices of building science, first. We don’t use the cheapest contractor-grade materials, we don’t shortcut the work, and we quickly correct or modify any shortcoming we find in design or materials. And we will only assign properly trained and experienced personnel to your tasks.

We use trusted tradecraft and build with proven and proper methods for long-lasting results. We build it right and stand behind it. You will never find untrained laborers substituted as carpenters or other tradesmen. And our project manager is better than any code-enforcer and will not let any violation stand. And with the use of Gantt charts, we maintain a known schedule.

From our Founder’s moral and ethics, to his family members who are on our team protecting our reputation, to the workers we hire, trustworthiness is critical. Our tradesmen will be working in and on your house, so we vet them with a background check, speaking to applicants referrals and watching them closely for 30 days. And if they don’t meet our standards, they are let go.
